Job summary

Alexion Pharma Spain S.L. in Athlone, Ireland, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Shift Lead to head a team of Bioprocess Technicians across a 24/7 operation. You will ensure safe, compliant production aligned to the manufacturing schedule, while maintaining batch records and data integrity.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on problem solving, and collaboration with QA, Engineering and Technical Services to deliver high-quality biologics at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience in a cGMP-regulated biologics manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of SOPs, batch records and data integrity principles.
• Ability to lead shifts and provide clear handovers between teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe and effective shift operations and adherence to schedule.
• Coordinate shift priorities, organize resources and communicate between shifts.
• Oversee upstream and downstream processing activities and maintain quality.
• Deliver clear shift handovers and provide timely updates to site leadership.
• Support deviation investigations, change controls and documentation.
