Job summary

Dornan Group in Dublin is seeking a BIM Technician to produce and manage 3D BIM models and detailed drawings for mechanical and electrical building services. You will develop coordinated models, resolve clashes, and support project teams across multiple disciplines.

The ideal candidate will have a BIM/engineering qualification, experience in construction, and strong Revit/AutoCAD skills with Navisworks familiarity. A proactive collaborator ready to contribute to project success.

Qualifications

• Qualification in BIM, Engineering, Building Services or related discipline.
• Experience as BIM Technician or similar in construction.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; Navisworks knowledge is a plus.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical building services, drawings and docs.
• Knowledge of BIM standards and clash detection processes.

Responsibilities

• Produce and update detailed 3D BIM models and drawings for M&E services.
• Develop coordinated models in line with project specs and standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and site teams for coordination.
• Identify and resolve clashes between building services and other disciplines.
• Prepare layouts, sections, schematics, and installation drawings.
• Incorporate design changes and keep drawings updated.
• Support design reviews and coordination meetings.
• Ensure BIM models and docs meet quality standards and deadlines.
