BIM Engineer: Lead Coordination & 3D Modeling

Job summary

Mercury seeks a BIM Engineer in Dublin to support the development, management, coordination and ongoing improvement of Mercury’s BIM systems. The role covers BIM software administration, model coordination, clash detection, data analysis, reporting and production of coordinated design and construction deliverables across multiple projects.

You will also manage P&IDs, BOMs, field verification, and provide training on BIM workflows while ensuring adherence to Mercury standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a BIM, CAD or Building Services Engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of BIM processes, model coordination and clash detection.
• Experience producing coordinated drawings, isometrics and material take-offs.

Responsibilities

• BIM software management and licence renewal.
• Model QA/QC of fabrication packs.
• Creation and management of COBie sheets.
• Clash detection and reporting across building systems.
• Develop and document BIM processes and procedures.
• Provide technical CAD and BIM support to model detailers.
• Produce GA drawings and detailing sheets.
• Liaise with subcontractors and site teams for coordination.
