Job summary

Crossley Scott Limited seeks an experienced BIM Engineer to join a leading engineering and construction environment in Dublin, Ireland. The role focuses on electrical BIM, 3D modelling and multidisciplinary coordination to deliver coordinated, constructible solutions.

You will own BIM models, collaborate with design, project management and site teams, drive clash detection, produce drawings and ensure compliance with BEPs and company standards. EU passport holders only apply.

Qualifications

• Experience as BIM Engineer with electrical systems background.
• Strong ability to coordinate across disciplines and teams.
• Experience producing coordinated 3D models and drawings.
• Familiarity with BEPs and CDE processes can be beneficial.

• Develop and maintain BIM models for electrical systems and related disciplines.
• Produce coordinated 3D models, GA drawings, fabrication and installation drawings.
• Lead BIM coordination, clash detection and resolve design conflicts.
• Ensure BIM deliverables meet schedules, BEPs and company standards.
• Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, site teams for constructability.
• Generate material take-offs and project data from BIM models.
• Manage drawing revisions and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support BIM standards, workflows and digital engineering practices.
• Assist with CDE administration and project information management.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced BIM Engineer to join a leading engineering and construction environment in Dublin, supporting the delivery of complex electrical engineering and construction projects.

This role will suit a technically strong BIM professional with a background in electrical systems, 3D modelling and multidisciplinary coordination. You will take ownership of BIM models and project deliverables, working closely with design, project management and site teams to ensure coordinated, accurate and constructible solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM models for electrical systems, including power distribution, containment, lighting and small power, alongside supporting mechanical and piping systems.
• Produce coordinated 3D models, general arrangement, fabrication and installation drawings.
• Lead BIM coordination activities, conduct clash detection and drive the resolution of design conflicts.
• Ensure BIM deliverables meet project schedules, client requirements, BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and company standards.
• Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, workshop teams and site personnel to ensure model accuracy and constructability.
• Generate material take-offs, schedules and project data from BIM models.
• Manage drawing revisions, model updates and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of BIM standards, workflows and digital engineering practices.
• Assist with Common Data Environment (CDE) administration and project information management.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders to coordinate BIM deliverables.
