Job summary

Jones Engineering in Maynooth is seeking an Electrical BIM Detailer/Modeller to join our project teams, delivering precise 3D models of electrical systems and associated documentation. You will work with the Project Team Leads and engineers, using Revit and Navisworks to coordinate with architects and other disciplines, and to perform clash detection.

• 2-3 years minimum in a similar position.

Job Description

As an Electrical BIM Detailer, you will play a pivotal role in our project development and implementation process, working closely with the Project Team Leads, Engineering, Construction team and industry experts to deliver cutting-edge projects. Current roles are based in our offices in Maynooth and Collinstown.

Role and Responsibilities will include

• Model Development: Create detailed 3D BIM models of Electrical systems, using an array of Autodesk Products along with the latest Point Cloud Technology and full support methodology, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Co-ordination: Work within an experienced BIM team liaising with architects / engineers, ensuring seamless integration of all systems within the BIM model.
• Clash Detection: Utilise software like Navisworks Manage to identify and resolve clashes between electrical systems and other building components before construction.
• Documentation: Prepare 3D models to produce 2D design drawings, shop drawings, based on the accurate and fully constructable BIM models.
• BIM Standards & Compliance: Ensure that all modelling activities adhere to project-specific BIM requirements, industry standards, and the project's BIM Execution Plan (BEP).

The successful candidate will be supported in developing their knowledge and skills as their responsibilities grow and evolve.

Skills and Requirements

• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in BIM software, in particular Revit and Navisworks.
• 2-3 years minimum in a similar position.
