Job summary

Vertiv Ireland is seeking a detailed BIM/Digital Engineering Coordinator to implement and maintain BIM processes across our projects. You will ensure accurate model creation, data integration, and effective communication among stakeholders to reflect design intent and client requirements.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and maintain models, resolve clashes, and generate reports for cost and schedule purposes while upholding Vertiv standards and industry best

Qualifications

  • Qualification related to BIM (Revit/3D CAD) or equivalent.
  • 1+ years BIM coordination experience with BIM software tools.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of BIM principles and ISO19650 standards.
  • Busbar systems knowledge is advantageous but not required.
  • Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with construction and design processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with clash detection and resolution processes.
  • Knowledge of quantity extraction and data management from BIM models.

Responsibilities

  • Create and prepare 3D BIM models and deliverables with high accuracy reflecting design intent and Vertiv standards.
  • Create plans, sections, elevations, 3D ISO views, and schedules for coordination and as-built documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain BIM models.
  • Coordinate busbar services within multidisciplinary BIM models to resolve clashes.
  • Manage BIM workflows to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to standards.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining BIM content libraries, templates, and families.
  • Generate clash detection reports and support coordination efforts with project teams.
  • Extract quantities and data from BIM models for cost estimation and scheduling.
  • Ensure deliverables align with project timelines and objectives with BIM managers.
  • Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software and processes.
  • Stay up to date with BIM trends and best practices.

  • Create plans, sections, elevations, 3D ISO views, and schedules for coordination, installation, and as-built documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop and maintain BIM models that accurately represent project designs and data.
  • Coordinate busbar services within multidisciplinary BIM models to identify and resolve clashes, discrepancies, and potential conflicts in design and construction.
  • Manage BIM workflows and processes to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to established BIM standards and protocols.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of BIM content libraries, templates, and families for efficient model development.
  • Generate clash detection reports and work with project teams to facilitate issue resolution and coordination efforts.
  • Extract accurate quantities and data from BIM models for cost estimation, scheduling, and other project-related purposes.
  • Collaborate with BIM managers and project managers to ensure BIM deliverables align with project timelines and objectives.
  • Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software and processes, promoting proper usage and adherence to standards.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in BIM methodology and software.
  • Participate in regular meetings and communication channels to facilitate effective collaboration among project stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Hold qualification (or relevant experience) related to the post in Revit, 3D CAD, or an equivalent.
  • Proven experience (1+ years) in BIM coordination and working with BIM software tools like ACC/Forma.
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of BIM principles, standards, and protocols i.e ISO19650
  • Previous knowledge of busbar systems will be an advantage but not a requirement, as specific training on our products and BIM libraries will be provided as part of the role.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with construction and design processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with clash detection and resolution processes.
  • Knowledge of quantity extraction and data management from BIM models.
