Due to continued success and growth, we have immediate opportunities for experienced Panel Wirers to join our team at our Burnfoot site in Co. Donegal. As a Panel Wirer, you will be a hands‑on member of a skilled and supportive shop‑floor team, responsible for the electrical wiring and mechanical assembly of LV/MV switchgear and control panels.

Reporting to the Production Manager and Supervisors, you will work directly from engineering drawings, schematics, and production schedules to build high‑quality, safety‑critical assemblies. This role is suited to a practical, detail‑oriented individual who takes pride in precision workmanship, maintains high safety and quality standards, and enjoys working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble electrical switchgear and related electromechanical equipment based on engineering drawings and production schedules.
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship standards both in the factory and at customer premises.
  • Work from technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to ensure precise assembly.
  • Contribute to the fitting, building, and construction of various parts for seamless component integration.
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical maintenance, including site modifications and thermal imaging inspections.
  • Ensure a clean, safe working environment while adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Complete testing of panels, up to and including current injection testing.
  • Support and mentor team members, sharing technical expertise and best practices.
  • Report any substandard, malfunctioning, or defective parts.
  • Select, measure and modify components to ensure proper fit.
  • Carry out MTOs and order materials for allocated tasks, both internally and for site works.
  • Assemble prototype and development units in collaboration with supervisors and managers.
  • Conduct thermal imaging inspections and compile reports.
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience in wiring and assembling electrical panels.
  • Ability to read and follow schematic diagrams accurately.
  • Experience in ensuring proper electrical connections and troubleshooting issues.
  • Proven experience in the assembly of mechanical equipment and electromechanical systems.
  • Previous experience in on‑field service work / onsite installations.
Desirable Skills, Qualification and Experience
  • Knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical systems.
  • Experience in LV/MV switchgear manufacturing.
  • Previous experience in on‑field service work / onsite installations.
  • Familiarity with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
