Job summary

Gilder Search Group client, a Tier 1 Main Contractor, seeks a Bid Writer to join their Head Office team in Galway. This is a permanent, office-based opportunity suited to an experienced engineer looking to move into a technical writing and proposals role.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical writing ability and a solid understanding of construction methodologies and programming. You will work with engineering, commercial and operational staff to deliver high-quality tender

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or engineering, minimum 1 year in any engineering capacity.
• Strong technical and writing ability with understanding of construction methodologies and programming.
• Proven ability to review tender requirements and develop proposals accordingly.
• Excellent written skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a Bid Team to strict deadlines.
• Relevant third level degree.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents and requirements in detail to identify key criteria and win themes.
• Develop and write compelling, technically accurate bid and tender proposals.
• Work closely with the Bid Team to coordinate input from engineering, commercial and operational staff.
• Translate technical and construction methodology information into clear, persuasive written content.
• Manage multiple bid submissions concurrently to meet strict client deadlines.
• Proofread and edit bid content for clarity, consistency and compliance with tender requirements.
• Maintain and update a library of standard bid content, method statements and case studies.
• Liaise with project and estimating teams to gather project data and supporting evidence.
• Ensure all submissions are formatted and presented to a professional, client-ready standard.
