Job summary

Sherpa Kids Ireland is seeking a bubbly, energetic programme assistant to support after-school and holiday clubs at local schools in Cork. You will supervise children during activities, help with homework, and lead a variety of indoor and outdoor activities with enthusiasm and care.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of experience with school-aged children, basic knowledge of child development, and be prepared for Garda vetting and references checks as part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Experience working with school aged children.
• Basic knowledge of child development
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
• Garda vetting is essential (completed by us after interview stage)
• At least 2 written references checks before starting

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play
• Assist with homework and educational tasks
• Engaging in a variety of planned activities (both indoor and outdoor) with the children each day.
• Lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
