Job summary

Shape Recruitment Limited is assisting a Munster-based housebuilder to hire a BCAR Manager/Coordinator in Limerick. You will report to the Construction Director and oversee BCAR processes across multiple projects, coordinating with site teams, designers and certifiers to ensure compliance before handover.

The ideal candidate has a construction/engineering qualification and proven BCAR coordination experience, with strong organisational skills and BCMS proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in BCAR coordination or similar compliance/document control in construction.

Responsibilities

• Report to Construction Director and coordinate BCAR across projects.

The Client and overview of the opportunity: My Client are on of the major names in Housebuilding across Munster. They are a Munster-based business with projects all over Limerick, Kerry & Cork and have been trading over 20 years. Due to an extended period of growth and a few internal changes, I am looking for a BCAR Manager / Co - Ordinator to join them.

Main Responsibilities

• Reporting in to the Construction Director, you'll work closely with Site Operations and Engineering teams, looking after the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations (BCAR) process on a variety of construction projects.
• Manage paperwork, track inspection plans, and coordinate between contractors, designers and assigned certifiers to ensure construction projects meet statutory building regulations prior to handover.
• You will co - ordinate with project teams, assigned certifiers, design teams and contractors to ensure full BCAR compliance, oversee the preparation, submission, and tracking of BCAR documentation via the Building Control Management System (BCMS).

Requirements

• Be a team player.
• Relevant qualification in construction, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience in BCAR coordination or similar compliance/document control role within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of BCAR legislation and the Building Control Management System (BCMS).
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in document management systems and Microsoft Office.
