Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a BCaR Coordinator in Dublin 15 to ensure residential projects meet Building Control regulations. The role is permanent and office-based with a starting salary of €45,000 plus pension.

You will coordinate BCaR documentation, liaise with architects, engineers and local authorities, and manage homebond registrations while supporting project teams with compliant procedures and timely inspections.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage BCaR documentation and submissions across residential projects.
• Prepare and coordinate BCaR compliance documentation for Assigned Certifier submission.
• Liaise with project teams, architects, engineers and local authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, documentation and reports per regulatory requirements.
• Support site teams in implementing BCaR-compliant procedures and ensure timely inspections.
• Monitor changes to Building Control legislation and advise project teams accordingly.
• Produce regular compliance reports for senior management and flag risks.
• Coordinate HomeBond registrations and service registrations (electricity, telecoms, water).
• Provide additional admin support to the wider team as needed.

Are you an organised construction professional with experience in BCaR, building control and compliance?

Our client, one of Ireland's largest independent homebuilders, is currently seeking a BCaR Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected residential developer responsible for delivering large-scale, high-quality housing developments for first-time buyers and families across Ireland.

Based at their offices in Ballycoolin, Dublin 15, you will play a key role in ensuring residential projects meet all relevant Building Control regulations and compliance requirements.

About Your New Role

As BCaR Coordinator, you will work closely with project teams, architects, engineers, site personnel and external stakeholders to manage and coordinate BCaR documentation and compliance throughout the construction process.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating and managing all BCaR-related documentation and submissions across residential projects.
• Preparing and coordinating BCaR compliance documentation for submission to the Assigned Certifier.
• Liaising with project teams, architects, engineers and local authorities to ensure full compliance with Building Control regulations.
• Maintaining accurate records of inspections, documentation and reports in line with regulatory requirements.
• Supporting site teams in implementing BCaR-compliant procedures and ensuring inspections are completed within required timeframes.
• Monitoring changes to Building Control legislation and providing guidance to project teams on regulatory updates.
• Producing regular compliance reports for senior management and highlighting potential risks or issues.
• Coordinating HomeBond registrations.
• Managing the registration of key services, including electricity, telecommunications and water connections.
• Supporting the wider team with additional administrative and project-related duties as required.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have experience in a BCaR, compliance, inspection or construction administration role and a strong understanding of the regulatory requirements associated with residential construction.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a BCaR Coordinator, or experience in a similar construction compliance or inspection role.
• Strong knowledge of the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations and associated legislation.
• Experience working within the construction industry, ideally within residential development.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage detailed documentation accurately.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving compliance issues.
