Job summary

The Moorings in Portmagee, Ireland is seeking a friendly bar/restaurant professional with a passion for service to join our team. Two years in hospitality, cocktail making and strong F&B knowledge are essential; you’ll promote excellent service, upsell, and maintain high standards.

We offer a friendly, sociable work environment with shift flexibility and a reduced-rate accommodation option; a free meal on duty is provided when you work 4.5 hours or more.

Qualifications

• Significant work experience in hospitality and F&B service.
• Strong knowledge of food & beverage service and cocktails.

Responsibilities

• Promote excellent service and handle customer complaints tactfully.
• Maintain quality control for all drinks and upsell when possible.
• Ensure knowledge of menu for upselling and training.
• Order bar goods, supplies and cleaning products; manage waste.
• Maintain health and safety standards and procedures.

Job description

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years experience.
• With food & beverage service knowledge and experience.
• Cocktail making experience.
• A positive & proactive attitude.
• Team player, and solution focused.
• Has excellent customer care skills.
• Maintain high levels of service and standards.
• Ability to work calmly in a high paced environment.
• Ability to work on their own in quieter times.
• Flexibility in shift pattern.
• Knowledge of opening and closing procedures.
• Eligible to work in Ireland immediately.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure customer satisfaction through promoting excellent service; respond to customer complaints tactfully and professionally.
• Maintain quality control for all drinks served.
• Excellent product knowledge to allow menu development, upselling & training.
• Project future needs & ordering for goods, bar supplies, and cleaning products; order accordingly.
• Maintain health and safety regulation standards.
• Seek ways to cut waste and decrease operational costs.
