Job summary

Ballymascanlon Hotel & Golf Resort is recruiting for an experienced Bartender to join the team at Ballymascanlon House. The role requires fluency in English and strong customer service in a Food & Beverage environment within a four-star hotel setting.

The position is part-time, with mornings/evenings/weekends and public holidays, and offers benefits including meals on duty, staff discounts, and parking. Previous hospitality experience is essential to ensure high standards of service.

Qualifications

Previous experience working in a Food & Beverage environment i.e. hotel, restaurant, bar
Fluent English and excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

To serve bar guests their orders promptly and courteously
To serve beverages at weddings and other evening functions
To accurately record guest orders and serve beverage orders
To ensure proper garnishing of drinks
To process guest checks accurately
To keep the working area stocked with mise-en-place and cleaned
To maintain knowledge of the bar menu, wine and beer lists and advise guests
To upsell in a professional, courteous manner
To liaise with the Bar Manager on set-ups and reservations
To adhere to the Responsible Service of Alcohol policy
Has full knowledge of alcohol policies and complies with them

Ballymascanlon Hotel & Golf Resort is currently recruiting for experienced Bartender to join the Team.

The Ballymascanlon Hotel is a four-star property set on 130 acres of beautiful parkland, this impressive Victorian House forms the heart of this Hotel. It is one of the most remarkable historical estates in Ireland dating back to 833 A.D.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

To serve bar guests their orders promptly and courteously
To serve beverages at the weddings at other evening functions
To accurately record guest orders and serves beverage orders
To ensure proper garnishing of drinks
To processes guest checks accurately
To ensure that the working area and station is stocked with “mise-en-place” and kept clean and tidy at all times
To maintain a thorough working knowledge of the bar menu, wine and beer list, and content of drinks to be able to advise guests on selection and promote additional sales accordingly
To promote additional sales by taking opportunities to up-sell in a manner that is professional and courteous
To liaise with the Bar Manager concerning set‑ups and reservations
To adhere to the Responsible Service of Alcohol policy
Has full knowledge of alcohol and liquor policies and regulations, and complies fully with them

About The Role
