Job summary

The Heritage in Killenard, Co. Laois, Ireland, is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our team. The role requires working shifts including early, late, weekends and bank holidays, with full-time hours year round.

Previous experience preparing signature cocktails would be advantageous. We offer a luxury hotel setting with on-site spa and leisure facilities, and opportunities to develop in a renowned hospitality group.

Qualifications

Experience as bartender in hospitality settings.
Knowledge of signature cocktails and beverage offerings.
Ability to deliver high standards of guest service and upsell where appropriate.

Responsibilities

Operate the till system and handle transactions accurately.
Maintain a clean and tidy bar station at all times.
Prepare mise en place and ensure stock is available for service.
Polish and store glassware to minimize breakages and loss.
Take orders and promote products to meet The Heritage standards.

We are have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bartender to join our existing team! The successful candidate must be available to work shifts to include early, late, weekends & bank holidays and must be available to work full-time hours year round. Previous experience preparing signature cocktails would be a distinct advantage!

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To operate the till system effectively
To maintain a clean and tidy station at all times
To carry-out mise en place for service, ensuring it is sufficient to allow for the required standard of service, i.e. setting tables, stocking stations, preparing tea / coffee etc
To correctly clear, polish and store crockery, cutlery and glassware to minimise breakages and loss, while maintaining standards
To correctly take orders to The Heritage standard, maximising and promoting sales by recommending products where appropriate
To promote a helpful and professional image to the guest, and give full co-operation to any guest requiring assistance, with a prompt caring and helpful attitude
To anticipate client needs to enhance quality service and guest satisfaction
To give full co-operation to any colleague requiring assistance in a prompt caring and helpful manner and to be flexible in assisting around the hotel in response to business and guest needs
To have extensive knowledge of all beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) available
To have knowledge of the food offerings and menu
To handle guest’s complaints discretely, notifying the manager on duty
To positively promote sales within your department
