Job summary

The Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Bartender to join our team. Prior bartending experience is preferred, but entry level candidates with food & beverage exposure are welcome to learn our service style and drinks menu.

We offer flexible shifts across weekdays, with part-time and full-time options. You will work in a lively environment, learn about responsible alcohol service, and enjoy staff benefits including gym access, meals on duty, parking and staff

Qualifications

• Energetic and customer focused with excellent communication skills.
• 1 year experience behind a busy bar preferred, but entry level training provided.
• Knowledge of drinks and cocktails is a plus.
• Available to work mid‑week and weekend shifts.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment and take initiative.

The Hodson Bay Hotel are currently recruiting for a friendly and customer focused Bartender.

Previous Bartender experience is desired, however, we would be delighted to welcome Entry Level Bartenders who have some Food and Beverage experience and wish to learn a new set of skills!

We are particularly interested in candidates who have availability on weekdays, for part time or full time hours. We have a variety of shifts available to suit all needs across the afternoon, evening and later night shifts. Candidates must be flexible to work across weekdays & weekends, when needed.

Duties will include:

• The service of food & beverages, cash handling & other related duties as required.
• Ensuring the highest standards of hygiene are maintained throughout service.
• Assisting other F&B outlets during busy periods
• Ensure alcohol is sold responsibly as per our Responsible Sale of Alcohol policy

A little bit about you:

• 1 year experience behind a busy bar preferred, however full training will be provided for entry level bartenders
