Job summary

The Hillgrove Hotel & Spa in Monaghan is seeking an Assistant Bar Manager to support daily bar operations and lead the bar team across weddings, conferences and events. You will work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to deliver high guest service, manage function bar requirements and uphold hospitality standards.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong communication and a hands-on approach to service, with flexibility for evenings and weekend shifts in a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in hospitality.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of bar operations, beverages and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of Bar and function/event bar areas.
• Lead and develop bar team during shifts.
• Coordinate bar setup, staffing and stock for events.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, safety and HACCP procedures.
