Teamworx Recruitment partner seeks an experienced Bar Manager in Tralee to lead a high-energy, late-night venue refurbishment with three outlets, delivering top-class service and a vibrant atmosphere.

You will hire and train bartenders and floor staff, drive staff morale, manage inventory and budgets, and ensure safety, compliance, and profitable operations through strong leadership.

Teamworx Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with this client in Tralee to find an experienced Bar Manager for an exciting refurbishment project. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the launch of a late-night venue made up of three distinct outlets, offering the finest wines, draught beers, spirits and cocktails.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, customer-centric, energetic, positive, and loves being part of a team. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager, and late nights and weekends will be required.

Applicants should have previous experience in busy venues that specialise in top-class customer service.

The Role

• Hire, train and schedule bartenders, barbacks and floor staff across our outlets, including No. 41 and Queen's
• Motivate staff and maintain high morale
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback
• Foster a positive and high-performance culture

Customer Experience

• Resolve complaints or issues swiftly and professionally
• Create a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the venue's brand
• Handle customer feedback with empathy and professionalism

Inventory & Stock Control

• Monitor and manage inventory levels of alcohol, mixers and supplies
• Place orders with suppliers and negotiate pricing
• Minimise waste and track usage to control costs
• Present ideas to maximise stock efficiency, minimise holding stock and limit waste
• Manage budgets and track bar profitability
• Handle cash flow, reconcile tills, and oversee POS systems
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality
• Ensure the business is run at its most profitable

Compliance & Safety

• Enforce health, safety and hygiene standards
• Ensure staff are trained in responsible alcohol service
• Maintain licences and adhere to local regulations
• Uphold the safety of customers and employees as paramount, alongside the business's atmosphere

Menu & Event Planning

• Collaborate on drink menus and seasonal specials
• Organise bar promotions, themed nights and private events with the assistance of other management, brands and chefs
• Stay ahead of trends in mixology and customer preferences
• Liaise with customers and colleagues on bookings and event planning

Operational Excellence

• Oversee daily bar operations and shift transitions, ensuring checklists are followed through
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of bar equipment
• Analyse sales data to improve efficiency and offerings
• Maintain a positive work environment, ensuring morale is high and negativity is low
