Assistant Bar Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Bar Manager to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional looking to take the next step in their management career.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of a busy bar operation, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high operational standards, and supporting the management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily management of a high-volume bar operation.
• Report directly to the General Manager.
• Supervise, motivate, and support the bar team.
• Prepare weekly staff rosters and manage scheduling.
• Order and monitor stock levels to ensure efficient inventory management.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
• Manage and oversee customer bookings and event enquiries.
• Carry out end-of-night cash reconciliation and cash handling procedures.
• Ensure the premises are secured by completing lock-up procedures.
• Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Support the delivery of outstanding customer service and drive sales.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar Assistant Bar Manager or supervisory role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of beers, wines, spirits, and premium beverages.
• Advanced cocktail knowledge and experience preparing classic and contemporary cocktails.
• Proven cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead by example.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
