Job summary

Cashel Palace Hotel is seeking a reliable Banqueting Operations Assistant to help ensure wedding, conference and private dining events are prepared to the highest standard. The role focuses on the operational setup and presentation of banqueting spaces, not front-line food service.

You will work closely with Banqueting and F&B teams to prepare rooms, linens, table settings and equipment, maintain cleanliness, and support event delivery during midweek hours (24-32 hours per week).

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, housekeeping, facilities, logistics, events, or operational support.
• Experience preparing function rooms or event spaces.
• Knowledge of hospitality presentation standards.
• Manual handling training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare banquet and function rooms for weddings, conferences, meetings, and private events.
• Set and dress tables to exacting standards with linens, glassware, cutlery, and decor.
• Polish cutlery, glassware, and service equipment.
• Ensure function spaces are clean, organized, and event-ready.
• Assist with room turnarounds between events.
• Maintain banqueting stores, equipment and storage areas.
• Organise, move, and set up furniture and event equipment.
• Support stock control and replenishment of operational supplies.
• Work with Events and F&B teams to deliver seamless event prep.
• Adhere to health, safety, hygiene, and manual handling procedures.
• Provide occasional support during event service when required.
