Job summary

Cashel Palace Hotel is seeking a Banqueting Operations Assistant to help ensure events are prepared to the highest standard. You will work with the Banqueting and F&B teams to ready function rooms, equipment and service areas for weddings, conferences and private dining.

This role focuses on operational preparation rather than food service, with midweek hours (24-32 per week). A strong eye for detail, reliability and independence are essential to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, housekeeping, facilities, logistics, events or operational support.
• Excellent attention to detail and presentation standards.
• Ability to work in midweek periods and be reliable.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare banquet and function rooms for weddings, conferences, meetings and private events.
• Set and dress tables to exacting standards with linens, glassware, and cutlery.
• Polish cutlery, glassware and service equipment.
• Ensure all function spaces are clean, organised and event-ready.
• Assist with room turnarounds and stock control of supplies.
• Support delivery of seamless event preparation with Events and F&B teams.
