Job summary

Primus Connect in Dublin is seeking an experienced Back-End Web Application Developer to join a technology team delivering modern, cloud-based applications and services. The role focuses on robust back-end systems, APIs and cloud services in a hybrid setup.

You will design, develop and maintain scalable back-end services on Microsoft Azure, build RESTful APIs, and work with SQL/ NoSQL databases. 6-month initial contract with 2–3 days onsite weekly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' professional software development experience.
• Strong commercial experience developing back-end web applications and services.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-native development.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, integrations and microservices/service-based architecture.
• Experience with Git and modern source-control workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience building and deploying scalable web applications.
• Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
• Relevant cloud or software development certifications.

Back-End Web Application Developer - Contract

Location: Dublin - Hybrid

Contract: 6 months initial

We are looking for an experienced Back-End Web Application Developer to join a technology team delivering modern, cloud-based applications and services.

This is a hands-on development role focused on building robust and scalable back-end systems, APIs and cloud services. You'll work closely with developers, designers and business stakeholders to deliver applications that support high-volume operational and customer-facing environments.

The Role

You will:

• Design, develop and maintain scalable back-end services using Microsoft Azure.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and services supporting web and mobile applications.

• Build cloud-native solutions using services such as Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure SQL and Service Bus.

• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a wider engineering team.
• Good communication skills when working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience across AWS or GCP alongside Azure.
• Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
• Relevant cloud or software development certifications.

This is an initial 6-month contract based in Dublin, operating on a hybrid basis with 2-3 days per week onsite.
