Job summary

Ergo IT Recruitment Services is seeking a Back End Developer for a hybrid role in North Dublin on a 1-day rate contract. You will design, develop and maintain server-side applications and microservices using Node.js, and build secure, scalable APIs.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of back-end experience, strong TypeScript skills, and hands-on experience with Azure services including Container Apps, SQL and Cosmos DB. Collaboration with architects and programme managers is essential.

• 5 years back-end development experience.
• Node.js/TypeScript on Azure (Container Apps, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Service Bus).
• Design, develop and maintain server-side apps and microservices.
• Architect secure, high-performance APIs (REST/GraphQL).
• Integrate with third-party suppliers, legacy systems and internal data sources.
• Design/maintain database schemas (SQL or NoSQL).
• Perform root cause analysis and ensure production stability and security.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and Programme managers.

What do you need?

• 5 years back-end Development Experience
• Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and micro services using Node.js.
• Architect and manage secure, high-performance APIs (REST or GraphQL) for web and mobile consumption.
• Integrate applications with third-party suppliers, legacy systems, and internal data sources.
• Design and maintain database schemas (SQL or NoSQL) to support data-driven applications.
• Perform root cause analysis of technical issues and ensure the stability and security of the production environment.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and Programme managers

Required Criteria :

• Degree is Helpful not essential
• Irish /UK/EU Citizen or Stamp 4 visa is Essential
• Experience with NodeJs/Typescript deployed to Azure (Container Apps/Azure SQL/Cosmos DB/Azure Service Bus)is essential
• An ability to work in North Dublin 3 Days per week (essential)
