Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to design, operate and improve secure, scalable Azure platforms for large-scale production environments.

You will provide technical leadership for reliability initiatives, collaborate with engineering, security, architecture and product teams, and mentor junior SREs while driving automation and best practices across the cloud estate in Ireland.

Qualifications

• Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering or DevOps for large-scale production environments.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes, preferably AKS.
• Terraform expertise and experience with reusable IaC components.
• Strong Git/GitOps practices; experience with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Linux administration with scripting in Python, PowerShell, Go or Bash.
• Monitoring/observability experience with distributed tracing and alerting.
• Incident management, RCA, capacity planning and disaster recovery testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain highly available Azure infrastructure (AKS, VMs, Functions, App Services, Storage, Networking, Key Vault, Monitor).
• Define and maintain SLIs/SLOs and error budgets; drive reliability improvements.
• Lead RCAs and post-incident reviews; develop resilience patterns and multi-region architectures.
• Design IaC using Terraform; build reusable platform components; automate with Python/PowerShell/Go/Bash.
• Operate and optimise AKS clusters; enforce container security; implement GitOps with ArgoCD; manage upgrades and workloads.
• Develop monitoring, logging, alerting and distributed tracing; maintain dashboards (Grafana, Azure Monitor).
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps; blue/green and canary deployments.
• Provide technical leadership; mentor SRE I/II; promote SRE practices; participate in on-call rotations and major incident management.
