We are looking for an experienced Azure Software Architect / Technical Lead to join the technology organisation of a major international insurance business operating across Dublin, London and Bermuda.
This is an opportunity for a hands‑on technical leader to play a key role in transforming a complex legacy technology estate into a modern, scalable, cloud‑native environment. You’ll help define software architecture, establish engineering standards and shape how development teams design, build and deliver software.
Working closely with the Head of Software, Head of QA and Enterprise Architect, you’ll provide technical direction across engineering teams, bridging the gap between architectural vision and practical implementation. This is a development‑focused leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys influencing technical decisions, mentoring engineers and driving better ways of working without moving into traditional people management.
The organisation is heavily invested in Microsoft Azure, with a strong focus on Azure Functions, orchestration, microservices and distributed systems. You’ll also help explore and embed AI capabilities into the software development lifecycle and enterprise applications.
If you’re an Azure-focused Software Architect, Technical Lead or Principal Engineer looking to influence engineering direction, modernise complex platforms and shape cloud architecture across an international organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
