Key Responsibilities

IT Strategy & Technology Leadership

• Own and continuously evolve the organisation's IT strategy in line with business objectives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and advise senior leadership on innovation opportunities and future technology direction.
• Drive technology roadmaps and strategic initiatives across the enterprise.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and next-generation technologies to enhance operational performance and business value.

Architecture Leadership & Governance

• Lead and develop the architecture function, including direct management of Solution and Domain Architects.
• Establish architecture standards, principles, governance processes and reference architectures.
• Ensure technology solutions are secure, scalable, resilient and cost-effective.
• Partner with delivery, infrastructure, security, data and operations teams to support successful project execution.
• Chair architecture governance forums and oversee enterprise-wide technology decision-making.

Enterprise & Solution Architecture

• Provide architectural leadership across a modern Microsoft technology landscape.
• Design and govern enterprise solutions spanning cloud, applications, integration and data platforms.
• Drive best practice aligned to Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Azure Well-Architected Framework (WAF).
• Lead the adoption of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Power Platform and AI-enabled technologies.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory and governance requirements.

About You

You are an experienced architecture leader who combines strategic thinking with practical delivery expertise. You have successfully led architecture teams, influenced executive stakeholders and delivered technology transformation within complex enterprise environments.

Essential Experience

• Significant experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Technology Strategy or Architecture Leadership roles.
• Proven people management experience, including leading and developing architecture teams.
• Strong experience designing and governing enterprise solutions within Microsoft technology environments.
• Deep expertise across Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform and modern cloud architectures.
• Experience establishing architecture governance frameworks, standards and best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated success delivering technology strategy within large, complex organisations.

Desirable Experience

• Experience implementing AI-enabled business solutions using Microsoft AI technologies and Copilot.
• Background within highly regulated environments such as financial services, aviation, insurance, pharmaceuticals or similar sectors.
• Experience leading large-scale digital transformation programmes.
