Job summary
Accenture UK & Ireland seeks a Senior Azure Tech Lead to design, implement and operate secure cloud platforms for data-intensive workloads. You will bridge cloud engineering and data platform teams to enable reliable analytics and AI services.
Responsibilities include owning Azure platform services, IaC, automation, and cost management, while mentoring engineers and ensuring alignment with governance and enterprise standards.
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on Azure engineering experience across networking, compute, storage, identity and governance.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation for Azure deployments.
- Experience leading cloud engineering teams or workstreams in enterprise environments.
- AZ-305 Certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical design and operational health of Azure platform services.
- Provision repeatable environments through infrastructure as code and automated deployment pipelines.
- Engineer platform foundations for Data Lake Storage, Fabric, Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL and related services.
- Apply private connectivity, managed identities, secrets management, encryption, backup and disaster-recovery patterns.
- Monitor reliability, performance, capacity and cost; lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Lead technical delivery of cloud platform workstreams, managing technical risks and readiness activities.
- Define and enforce cloud engineering standards, automation practices and operational controls.
- Provide technical leadership and coaching to engineers while aligning capabilities with business requirements.
