Job Description

Due to business and IT growth, a new Cloud Engineer/Sysadmin vacancy has arisen.

Reporting to the Cloud Manager, the role will be responsible for maintaining and supporting both on-premises and Azure environments.

Location:

West Dublin- free parking provided

Work model:

Primarily office based. Hybrid working permitted after probation once settled in and systems training provided.. However, flexibility can be offered- they set you up for success.

On-call:

One week in three (with appropriate allowance/compensation).

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain existing on-premises and Azure systems.
• Research, design and implement new systems as required.
• Provide technical support to internal staff and external customers.
• Monitor infrastructure to ensure availability, performance, and security.
• Provide regular system health and performance reports to senior management.

Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills

• Virtual machines, VNETs, NSGs, VPN Gateway, Load Balancing, Key Vaults
• Storage: Blob, file and disk services
• Backup and recovery, Access control (RBAC)

Sysadmin

• Windows Server administration (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).
• Networking (protocols, troubleshooting, IP, routing, firewalls, VPNs).
• Monitoring tools (Nagios, PRTG or similar).
• Scripting/automation with one of PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI.

Microsoft 365

• Microsoft 365 administration
• Exchange Online

Security & Compliance

• Awareness of ISO 27001, ISO 22301, NIST CSF frameworks
• Knowledge of security best practices

Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in an Azure role.
• 2-3 years in a Sysadmin role desirable.
• Or 2 years in a dual-role encompassing both roles above.
• Fluent English, with strong verbal and written communication.
• Attention to detail with strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Customer-focused mindset.
