Job summary

The Recruitment Company Australia is recruiting a Senior Cloud & Security Engineer for Dublin. This hands-on role requires strong Azure and Microsoft Security expertise, ITIL familiarity, and a track record of managing complex security incidents in an enterprise environment.

You will work hybrid in the city centre, collaborating with IT teams to deploy Defender XDR, IAM controls, and secure infrastructure, while providing senior-level support and documentation to ensure resilient operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in IT Engineering / Infrastructure with strong cybersecurity awareness.
• Hands-on experience across Azure and Microsoft Security.
• Good understanding of IAM, Zero Trust, MFA, Information Protection and threat response.

Responsibilities

• Manage and secure Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, PIM and RBAC.
• Manage Microsoft Intune and endpoint security across devices and applications.
• Deploy and manage Microsoft Defender XDR solutions.
• Monitor security events using Microsoft Sentinel / SIEM and support incident response.
• Apply Zero Trust and security best practices across identity, devices and Azure.
• Provide Level 3 support, troubleshooting complex incidents and security issues.
• Contribute to change, problem and incident management within an ITIL-aligned environment.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs and runbooks.
• Work closely with wider IT teams to deliver projects and improve security across the environment.

Full Time Permanent €60-85k DOE Hybrid in the city centre (3/2)

We’re working with a leading organisation to recruit a Senior Cloud & Security Engineer to join their growing technology team. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced engineer with a strong background across Azure, Microsoft Security and IT Infrastructure, combined with a good understanding of ITIL and third-line support.

Key Responsibilities
