Job summary

Primus Connect in Dublin is seeking an experienced Back-End Web Application Developer to join a technology team delivering modern, cloud-based applications and services. The role focuses on robust back-end systems, APIs and cloud services in a hybrid setup.

You will design, develop and maintain scalable back-end services on Microsoft Azure, build RESTful APIs, and work with SQL/ NoSQL databases. 6-month initial contract with 2–3 days onsite weekly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' professional software development experience.
• Strong commercial experience developing back-end web applications and services.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-native development.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, integrations and microservices/service-based architecture.
• Experience with Git and modern source-control workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience building and deploying scalable web applications.
• Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
• Relevant cloud or software development certifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable back-end services using Microsoft Azure.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and services supporting web and mobile applications.
• Design and work with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Build cloud-native solutions using Azure Functions, App Service, SQL and Service Bus.
• Develop clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
• Implement and maintain unit testing.
• Contribute to technical design decisions and code reviews.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and Git/GitHub workflows.
• Collaborate with developers, designers and stakeholders throughout delivery.
• Produce and maintain technical and API documentation.
