Job summary

HRM Search Partners in Ireland seeks a seasoned Hardware Testing Engineer specializing in automotive cybersecurity to lead security testing across embedded systems and hardware interfaces. You will design test plans, perform threat modelling, and drive penetration testing to safeguard next-generation automotive platforms.

The role requires strong knowledge of cryptographic protocols, HSM, secure boot, and wireless security across RF, Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, 4G/5G, and V2X, with hands-on C/C++

Qualifications

• Education: BSc or BEng in Electronic/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience: automotive cybersecurity testing methodologies and risk assessment.
• Proficiency inC/C++ (embedded) and Python scripting.
• Knowledge of cryptographic protocols, HSMs, secure boot, PKI.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and execute test plans for automotive hardware and embedded systems.
• Perform threat modelling (STRIDE, TARA) and attack tree analyses.
• Conduct hardware-level penetration testing, protocol analysis, and vulnerability scanning.
• Validate security implementations including HSM, secure boot, and cryptographic protocols.
• Assess wireless security across RF, Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, 4G/5G and V2X.
• Collaborate with systems engineering and hardware teams to document findings and remediate vulnerabilities.
