Job summary

PHX Ireland is seeking an Automation Technician to maintain and repair tier 2 automation systems across United Drug, McCabes Pharmacy and TCP Homecare sites. The role reports to the Automation Manager and supports uptime, safety and GDP standards.

You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on conveyors, automated picking machines, storage systems and related equipment, liaising with the helpdesk and suppliers, and working flexibly to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining automated systems or conveyors.
• Strong fault-finding in automation and facility systems.
• Ability to work safely in a regulated environment and GDP standards.
• Excellent planning and organisation skills.
• Flexible with working hours to meet service and production needs.

Responsibilities

• General and complex logic control conveyors.
• Fully automated picking machines operation and upkeep.
• Mass storage and retrieval systems maintenance.
• Liaise with Automation Helpdesk to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime.
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance per schedule.
• Perform electrical component replacements per safety requirements.
• Manage spares and liaise with suppliers for stock.
• Identify personal and CI development opportunities.
