Job summary

Matrix Recruitment Group has an exciting opening for an Automation Technician in Ireland. You will keep automated machinery running, handle start-up and shutdown, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement in a busy manufacturing environment.

Working with supervisors and cross-functional teams, you will ensure GMP and quality standards, maintain a safe workspace, and contribute to new product introductions. The role is full-time and permanent with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Automation Technician or in injection moulding.
• Minimum 5 years’ work history in high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities.
• Proactive, hands-on approach and technical mindset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Start-up, shut down, and troubleshoot automated machinery
• Fault find and resolve issues on control systems and production equipment
• Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance
• Support continuous improvement and new product introduction projects
• Monitor performance of machines and address processing issues
• Uphold GMP and quality standards at all times
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace
• Complete technical documentation and reports
