Job summary

Matrix Recruitment Group is seeking an Automation Technician in Ireland to maintain and optimize automated manufacturing equipment across shifts. You will report to the Senior Automation Engineer and collaborate with production and engineering teams in a modern, quality-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of automation experience, solid knowledge of robotics and safety controls, and familiarity with vision inspection systems in ISO-regulated settings.

Qualifications

  • Third-level qualification in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related area.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a relevant automation role in manufacturing.
  • Solid knowledge of robotics, automated systems, and safety controls.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
  • Experience with vision inspection and in regulated/ISO-compliant environments (a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with robotics, vision systems, conveyors, and assembly equipment
  • Support the commissioning and validation of new automation systems
  • Monitor equipment performance and lead improvement initiatives for quality, safety, and productivity
  • Ensure all work complies with health & safety and regulatory guidelines
