Job summary

HERO Recruitment is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in County Clare to recruit an experienced Maintenance Technician for the evening shift. You will work within the AU Fill-Pack Value Stream and report to the Production Supervisor, performing hands-on maintenance and driving improvements.

Responsibilities include fixing recurring downtime, diagnosing faults from 24V DC to 3-phase systems, coordinating with supervisors on priorities, applying Lean tools, and ensuring smooth shift

Qualifications

• 2 years' maintenance experience in a highly automated industrial setting.
• Hands-on experience with pneumatics, instrumentation, hydraulics, or vision systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Liaising with Production Supervisors and Coordinators on equipment priorities


• Applying Lean and continuous improvement tools to drive lasting process improvements


• Managing shift handovers and ensuring full EHS compliance

What We're Looking For:

• Technical degree or diploma with 2 years' maintenance experience in a highly automated industrial setting


• Hands-on experience with pneumatics, instrumentation, hydraulics, or vision systems


• Familiarity with cGMP, FDA QSR, or ISO regulatory standards


• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have:

• PLC programming or electrical control systems experience


• Experience leading continuous improvement projects
