Job summary

PACIV is seeking an Automation Engineer to work on site in Kilkenny, Ireland, in a multinational manufacturing setting. The role focuses on developing and implementing Sattline control software, then transitioning to commissioning, I/O testing, CIP validation, and supporting production runs.

You will work with process engineers and operations teams, with on-the-job Sattline training and exposure to project lifecycle phases from software development through commissioning and production support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in industrial automation environments preferred.
• Knowledge of PLC/DCS terminology and software environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify Sattline control system software for tank farm operations.
• Assist with commissioning and start-up activities across the project lifecycle.
• Perform I/O checks and loop testing; support water testing and CIP validation.
• Collaborate with process engineers, operations and maintenance teams; provide progress updates.
