Job summary

CULLY are recruiting an Automation Engineer for the Automation department in Ireland. The role is full-time, with a 6-month probation, reporting to the Automation Manager and occasional travel for project needs.

You will work on large utilities projects with a Senior Engineer, transitioning to the project team to support clients nationwide. Strong debugging and communications are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree level 8 in Electrical, Automation and Control engineering.
• 5 years post-qualification experience in automation engineering.
• PLC programming experience on Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB, Schneider or Omron.
• SCADA experience such as ICONICS, Intouch, Wonderware, WinCC or similar.
• Experience with electrical/instrument equipment and control systems.
• Strong communication and customer liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in control and automation designs for water and wastewater projects.
• Prepare project documentation including FDS and OMMs.
• Designs and drawings for systems, software and electrical aspects.
• Support all control systems within projects ensuring on-time delivery.
• Design and programming of PLC/HMI controls and SCADA/telemetry systems.
• Test control panels and automation systems (FAT/SAT) and troubleshoot.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers and vendors; provide technical support.
