Job summary

Glan Agua is seeking an Automation and Control Engineer to join their team in Ireland. You will design and test PLC architectures, develop HMI and SCADA solutions, and work with a multidisciplinary team on multiple projects.

You will ensure HSQE compliance and participate in FAT/SAT activities while meeting time, cost and quality targets. The role requires at least five years in automation, a level 7 degree, and proficiency in Rockwell, Schneider, Mitsubishi or Omron platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in water and wastewater.
• Degree or equivalent in Automation Engineering or related field.
• Interest in developing a career within an industry‑leading organisation.
• Ability to work as part of a project team and participate in team meetings.
• Proficient in programming on Rockwell, Schneider, Mitsubishi or Omron platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional design of PLC Architecture, Networks and Interfaces.
• Build and test PLC code based on a Functional Specification.
• Develop and build HMI platforms to control automated systems.
• Design and develop SCADA applications for complete plants.
• Plan and implement engineering tasks to meet time, cost and quality targets.
• Collaborate with suppliers and site teams; provide technical guidance.
