European Tech Recruit is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our Limerick-based engineering team. You will contribute across PLC programming, HMI design, and motion-control projects, supporting from development through commissioning at customer sites.

The role requires hands-on PLC expertise with Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff or Siemens platforms, plus strong problem-solving skills and collaboration across mechanical, electrical, and project teams.

Formación

• 5+ years' experience in PLC programming / automation engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff and/or Siemens PLCs.
• Experience developing and commissioning HMI systems.
• Understanding of motion control, servo systems and industrial communications.
• Experience with automated machinery or machine-building environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Robotics experience would be an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Produce and maintain relevant technical documentation.

We are currently looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Limerick. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in industrial automation and bespoke machine building, working on automated equipment from initial development through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and program PLC control systems for automated machinery and equipment.
• Design and develop HMI applications.
