Job summary

eir business talent is building a talent pipeline of experienced PLC and Automation Engineers to support a range of upcoming projects across critical national infrastructure and industrial environments throughout Ireland.

We are keen to speak with engineers who have experience designing, configuring, modifying and supporting automation systems within utilities, manufacturing, life sciences, energy, transportation or other highly regulated sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and troubleshoot PLC and SCADA systems
• Support automation upgrades and system enhancements
• Develop and modify control logic and associated documentation
• Perform testing, fault finding and commissioning activities
• Work with multidisciplinary engineering, operations and maintenance teams
• Ensure compliance with operational, safety and cybersecurity standards

PLC / Automation Engineer Contract
Ireland | Hybrid / Site Based

We are keen to speak with engineers who have experience designing, configuring, modifying and supporting automation systems within utilities, manufacturing, life sciences, energy, transportation or other highly regulated sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure and troubleshoot PLC and SCADA systems
• Support automation upgrades and system enhancements
• Develop and modify control logic and associated documentation
• Perform testing, fault finding and commissioning activities
• Work with multidisciplinary engineering, operations and maintenance teams
• Ensure compliance with operational, safety and cybersecurity standards

Skills & Experience

• Experience with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi or similar
• Knowledge of SCADA, HMI and telemetry systems
• Exposure to industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently on customer sites throughout Ireland

Desirable

• Utilities, water, wastewater or energy sector experience
• FAT/SAT experience
• Understanding of OT cybersecurity principles
