Job summary

European Tech Recruit is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer for a high-volume medical device manufacturing facility in Limerick. You will provide technical ownership of automation projects, develop Siemens S7 PLC applications and maintain InTouch 9.5 SCADA, working across Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, change control experience in a regulated environment, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience as an Automation / Controls Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven proficiency with Siemens S7.
  • Strong experience with InTouch SCADA, ideally InTouch 9.5.
  • Experience with APT software development and project rollout.
  • Thorough understanding of change control within a regulated medical device environment.
  • Experience supporting or delivering projects within a high-volume 24/7 production facility.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities & take ownership of projects.
  • Strong communication & stakeholder‑management skills.
