Job summary

Glan Agua is seeking Automations and Control Engineers to join our Ballincollig, Co. Cork team. You will deliver PLC architecture, SCADA/HMI projects and on-site commissioning within a collaborative, safety-conscious environment.

You should have 5+ years in automation, a degree in Automation Engineering or related field, and a proven track record with Rockwell, Schneider, Mitsubishi or Omron PLCs and relevant SCADA tooling. A full driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in automation, control or instrumentation delivery.
• Degree or equivalent in Automation Engineering or related field.
• Experience in PLC programming and SCADA/HMI projects.
• Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, Modbus protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design PLC architecture and control interfaces for projects.
• Develop functional and design specifications from briefs.
• Build and test PLC code to a high standard.
• Develop and build HMI platforms to control automated systems.
• Design and develop SCADA applications for plants and modifications.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams during design and testing.
• Prepare FAT/SAT documentation and participate in client sign-off.
• Plan tasks to meet time, cost and quality targets.
• Keep up-to-date with HSQE standards and industry developments.
