Job summary

Qualifications

• Level 8 honours degree in Automation, Control Systems, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Practical experience in industrial automation, including PLC programming and the development or modification of control applications.
• Experience with HMI and SCADA technologies within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings and control-system documentation.
• Experience supporting engineering projects involving equipment development, integration, testing or commissioning.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to assess technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Confidence communicating technical information to customers, suppliers and colleagues from different engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver control-system software for automation projects.
• Design electrical systems and specify automation components.
• Integrate equipment and support testing, installation and handover.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to define requirements.
• Investigate faults and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical input to sales on automation proposals.
• Ensure safety, environmental and regulatory compliance.
