Job summary

Health Service Executive in Ashford, Wicklow, is advertising a flexi part-time Social Care Worker role for Autism A Chara Disability Services. The position requires a QQI Level 7 in Social Care or equivalent and CORU registration (or application in progress). Minimum 6 months’ relevant experience with complex needs is needed.

The role supports people with autism, follows PCPs and care plans, and offers a 12-hour-per-week minimum with a flexible schedule. A full driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the Social Care Sector.
• Understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with autism.
• Proven ability to work on own initiative.
• Experience in the implementation and development of support/care plans and PCPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to individuals with complex needs in line with PCPs and care plans.
• Deliver person-centred supports according to each individual’s PCP.
• Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration with the care team.
