Job summary

Health Service Executive invites applications for a Social Care Worker Autism position at Autism A Chara in Ashford, Wicklow. The post is permanent whole-time and open to those meeting CORU requirements and secondary level qualifications.

Successful candidates will hold a QQI Level 7 Award or degree in Social Care or related field, have CORU registration or application in progress, and demonstrate knowledge of autism, current legislation, and PCP/care planning.

Qualifications

• Full QQI Level 7 Award or degree in Social Care or Applied Social Care/Studies/Practice is essential.
• CORU registration or proof of application in progress with CORU.
• Minimum 6 months recent experience supporting people with complex needs.
• Knowledge of current legislation relating to the Social Care Sector.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Full, clean manual driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Delivers support according to the person’s PCP and care plan.
• Places the needs of the person supported at the centre of all activities.
• Demonstrates initiative and works as part of a multidisciplinary team.
