Job summary

Allied Irish Banks (AIB) is seeking an Auditor for Group Internal Audit, Enterprise Delivery, to join a growing team in Ireland. The role emphasizes risk assessment, data interpretation and effective stakeholder communication across a 100+ person team in Ireland and the UK.

The ideal candidate will have two years in financial services or audit, pursue relevant qualifications, and bring initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines while remaining composed under pressure.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an audit/accountancy qualification or willing to undertake such qualifications (e.g. CIA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CISA).
• Minimum two years in financial services and/or audit environment.
• Preference for experience in assurance or knowledge of key risks in financial services.
• Knowledge of key regulations within Financial Services.
• Initiative, attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Participate in audits from definition of scope to final report.
• Review data to identify trends and investigate anomalies.
• Communicate audit value to management and staff.
• Adhere to and improve Internal Audit processes.
• Engage in cross-department working groups (Methodology, People, Data Analytics, AI).
