Job summary

AIB is seeking an Auditor for Group Internal Audit, Enterprise Delivery, located in Dublin with a hybrid work model (3 days in office). You will participate in end-to-end audits, review data, and communicate findings to stakeholders while supporting process improvements across the department.

The role offers variety across regulatory and operational risks within the group. The successful candidate has 2+ years in financial services or audit, pursuing an audit/accountancy qualification, and

Qualifications

  • Pursuing an audit/accountancy qualification or willingness to undertake such qualifications.
  • Minimum two years in financial services or audit.
  • Experience providing assurance or knowledge of key risks in financial services.
  • Knowledge of key regulations in Financial Services.
  • Shows initiative, detail-oriented, able to work to deadlines and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in audits from scope to final report.
  • Review processed data to identify trends and investigate items.
  • Communicate with management and staff on audit value.
  • Adhere to and improve Internal Audit processes.
  • Get involved in cross-department working groups.

Role: Auditor - Group Internal Audit, Enterprise Delivery

Location/Office Policy: Molesworth Street, Dublin 2 or Regional Hub (Cork/Galway/Waterford) with Hybrid Working (3 days office based)

Key accountabilities;
  • Participate in audits from beginning to end including definition of audit scope, test strategy, execution of testing, summary of issues and final report;
  • Review and interpret processed data to identify trends and investigate exceptional items;
  • Communicate effectively with management and staff across the organisation by positively conveying the role and value of internal audit;
  • Continuous adherence to and improvement of the Internal Audit process; and
  • Opportunities to get involved in working groups across the department, e.g. Methodology, People, Data Analytics, AI.
What you Will Bring ;
  • Currently undergoing exams to attain an audit/accountancy qualification or the willingness to undertake such qualifications (e.g. CIA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CISA);
  • A minimum of two years in a financial services and/or audit environment;
  • Preference for people who have practical experience of providing assurance or who have a working knowledge of the key risks within financial services;
  • Knowledge of key regulations within the Financial Services industry; and
  • You’ll have lots of initiative, excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
