Key Responsibilities
- Lead Audit Engagements: Direct and take full ownership of audit assignments across diverse industries, ensuring clear project planning and thorough risk briefings for audit teams.
- Deliver High-Quality Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements and comprehensive audit reports, delivering practical, evidence-based recommendations that address control weaknesses and mitigate risk.
- Manage Concurrent Projects: Oversee multiple client engagements simultaneously, balancing time and resources effectively to meet firm deadlines without compromising quality.
- Foster Client Relationships: Establish strong working relationships with client teams across departments to ensure a smooth, value‑adding audit process.
- Partner Alignment: Keep engagement Partners updated on project milestones, key risks, and emerging issues through proactive communication.
- Ensure Quality & Compliance: Execute all audit work to the highest technical standards in line with FRS 102 and Irish GAAP, completing assignments within budget and agreed timelines.
- Mentor Team Members: Provide guidance, coaching, and constructive feedback to junior staff to support their professional development and maintain high team performance.
Candidate Profile
- Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification with a minimum of 3 years of relevant post‑qualification experience.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Irish GAAP, FRS 102, and the Companies Act 2014 (CA2014), with a track record of applying these standards to build effective audit strategies.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and client engagements simultaneously while upholding quality standards.
- Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex findings clearly and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Industry Experience: Solid background managing diverse client portfolios and a deep understanding of audit risk management.
