Job summary

Berkley Group is seeking an Audit Senior in Dublin with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days onsite). The successful candidate will work with Partners, Directors and Managers across a diverse portfolio of audit clients within a leading professional services firm in Ireland.

You will oversee fieldwork, develop client relationships, and guide junior staff while ensuring high-quality audits are delivered on time and within budget. Strong technical knowledge and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with audit experience in Big 4 or Top 10 firms.
• Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS.
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience supervising audits and coaching junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for a portfolio of audit clients.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships alongside senior management.
• Plan audit assignments, including transition and onboarding of new clients.
• Design and implement audit strategies and staffing plans.
• Coordinate and lead audit fieldwork, ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Apply the firm's audit methodology with focus on risks and technical matters.
• Deliver assignments within agreed deadlines and budgets.
• Provide guidance on financial reporting and technical accounting matters.
• Support departmental development, recruitment and business development initiatives.
• Contribute to learning and development activities and coach junior team members.
• Participate in internal training.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with audit experience gained within a Big 4 or Top 10 professional services environment.
