Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is establishing an Audit Quality Oversight function to provide independent oversight into audit quality across high-risk engagements, including PIEs. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new capability, influence audit quality at firm-wide level, and work with senior leadership on impactful matters.

As a founding AQO member, you will conduct reviews, shape methodology, reporting, training and the future direction of this capability while collaborating with Partners,

Qualifications

• Senior audit professional with strong judgment in complex scenarios.
• Ability to challenge senior stakeholders with evidence-based reasoning.
• Deep knowledge of ISAs and LEAP software.
• Clear communication to influence outcomes across teams.
• Curiosity and understanding of complex audit judgments.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent engagement reviews and provide insight.
• Identify emerging risks and promote consistency of judgement.
• Contribute to firm-wide quality initiatives and methodology.
• Collaborate with Partners on quality improvements and governance.
• Support training and development within the AQO team.
