Job summary

AAB in Cork is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to lead audit engagements, supervise junior team members, and ensure high-quality delivery for clients.

The successful candidate will work with Audit Directors and Partners, develop client relationships, and contribute to planning, execution, and completion of assignments. A minimum of 2 years PQE and ACA/ACCA are required.

This role sits in the IRE DUB department and offers opportunities for leadership and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, with emphasis on Excel
• Experience with accounts production software CCH advantageous
• Strong knowledge of Irish accounting and financial reporting requirements
• Interpersonal and communication skills, with client-facing confidence

Responsibilities

• Support the management of a portfolio of clients within Audit & Accounts
• Prepare and complete audit files from start to finish with proper documentation
• Understand accounts production process and prepare financial statements
• Identify and resolve accounting, audit and technical issues
• Ensure assignments are completed efficiently and within deadlines
• Review junior team work and obtain audit evidence
• Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
